A Town Builder is most likely the
principal of a company engaged in the process of acquiring land,
developing a plan, building a neighborhood or town based upon the
principals of Smart Growth.
The membership is made up of individuals
involved in the process for his or her own interest or in a joint
venture, or as a major fee developer.
Town Builders pursue a wide variety of projects touching on all
aspects of residential, commercial, retail and civic development.
Some are involved in private/public partnerships with municipalities.
They work across the country, some on large projects and some on
small, yet all are based upon the New Urbanist principals of Smart
Growth. |

Annual Company dues are $2,500 for
the participation of two principals or executives. The two members
from each company are invited, free of charge, to each roundtable
event during the year, which gives them the opportunity to know
and interact with other developers facing the same unique issues.
Additional staff may from time to time, when the agenda warrants,
also attend events for a small fee.
Through the NTBA website, Members can link to and review other Members' projects
for the purpose of sharing information, learning, and ultimately creating excellent
new neighborhoods through the cooperation of peers.
